"Tears of the Forest" has been scattered all over the world at different continents decades ago, but today, in this era, we are able to see, enjoy, and experience the wonders of the music thanx to the co-founder of the festival which is Randy Raine-Reusch (right). The purpose of this festival is to bring together on the same stage renowned world musicians from all continents and indigenous musicians from the interiors of the mythical island of Borneo. I really felt that this festival has helped to preserved the songs which has existed even before my time. And it is really worthwhile to be appreciated.
However, it is sad to see that many has mislead the purpose of this festival and took advantage of it by doing all sorts of unhealthy activities. Not only that, the whole environment of the place where the festival is held, which is at the Sarawak Cultural Village, was violated. Rubbish were thrown all over the places as if the land was not a piece from the earth and the facilities were badly damaged. No matter how much improvements or actions that are taken to prevent this, it will always be impossible without the cooperations from us.
